PRAYER HYMN....................#2193

Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying” Sing Twice

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

God of all creation, you give us so much that we take for granted. Rather than using our gifts wisely, we bury them to keep them safe, or squander them on things we do not really need. We let the pitches and claims of marketers determine what is important, putting our wants ahead of our true needs, and our desires ahead of what you desire for us and your kingdom. In our selfishness, our eyes and ears are closed to the very ones you call us to serve and care for. Forgive us, O God, and strengthen us and help us stand firm in your ways. Amen.

WORDS OF PROMISE

Pastor:..........God knows our frailties and looks upon us

with compassion and mercy.
People:..........We receive the gift of God’s forgiveness

with joy and thanksgiving!
All:..........Alleluia! Amen.

Today in worship, we will look closely at biblical principles of money management and learn how they apply to our daily lives. We will review some common pitfalls and cultural traps and discover how to avoid them. We also will receive a reminder of the Six Key Financial Principles. This useful tool, which is designed for all of us, can be especially helpful in training youth and young adults as they begin to develop lifelong habits in personal finance. We hope you will take time this week to read these principles and Scriptures. They will make a great table devotional for you and your family. By practicing these biblical principles, all of us can find greater simplicity, contentment, generosity, and joy for our lives.

One of our Parish Nurses will be available in the Church Library TODAY, beginning at 9:30 a.m., to check your Blood Pressure or to answer any health questions you may have regarding a health issue. You are invited to stop in.

Needed NOW for the Holiday Bazaar: good, usable jewelry of all varieties. A few pieces or as many as you have to donate - all will be appreciated. There is a box available in Fellowship Hall for your donations. Thanks so much!!!

The Revival Center Food Pantry is the recipient of October’s food donation. This will be a collection of food staples like cereal, mac & cheese, peanut butter, soup, paper products, etc. We are still collecting today in the Fellowship Hall.

On Sunday mornings during worship, we have a variety of options for our children. At the 8:30 worship, staffed child care is available for infants through 3 & 4 year olds. During the 11:00 worship, there is a staffed nursery for young children through 3 & 4 year olds. Following the Time With the Children, there is Sermontime - a time of learning for those in kindergarten through second grade held in our 1st & 2nd grade classroom. Children 3 and 4 years old may go to the nursery during Sermontime.
