BRINGING IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST

WELCOME, PARISH NOTES & CLIP BOARD MINISTRY

*CALL TO CELEBRATION

One:..........It won't be long now

All:..........'Til a child is born

One:..........And angels sing

All:..........And shepherds visit a king.

One:..........It won't be long now

All:..........'Til "Silent Night" is sung in candlelight.

One:..........It won't be long now

All:..........'Til children squirm in their beds with eager anticipation.

One:..........It won't be long now

All:..........'Til joy is unwrapped,

One:..........Feasts are shared,

All:..........And a birth is remembered.

One:..........It won't be long now,

All:..........So ready the heart,

One:..........Quiet the rush

All:..........And worship the One who comes to break oppression and set the captives free.

UNISON PRAYER

Eternal Lord, we are waiting expectantly and seriously for your gifts. We have prepared our hearts as well as our homes and tried to respond to our hungry neighbors. Now suddenly, as the festival of the Holy Child approaches, we feel ourselves overwhelmed by joy. We are also your children and we will never grow up beyond wonder. As we light candles of joy, of celebration, of hope, we are thrilled and excited to be invited to your holy birth. But as the excitement grows stronger day by day, help us not to be overwhelmed with all that must be done. Keep our focus, Eternal One, on your great gift. Come, Lord Jesus! Amen.

Those serving in the military in our nation are away from home and loved ones. Mail is a connection that they look forward to daily - a word of care and encouragement. Do you have a family member or friend who is currently serving our nation? We would like their addresses so we can offer our congregation opportunity to be encouragers to these soldiers. Helen Quinn will be coordinating this effort. Please give her the FULL address of your loved one or friend or you may email it to her. A list of those name and addresses will be shared with the congregation as soon as we have them assembled.

If you are headed to a warmer climate for the winter PLEASE notify the church office when you will be leaving. Returned or forwarded mail costs the church. You can call the office (775-5362) with your winter address and the date you will be leaving, or you can email your information to umccadillac@sbcglobal.net. Thank you for your cooperation!

The 2010 Flower Chart is available on the bulletin board in the office hallway. You may sign-up to honor or remember a person(s) or special occasion. The flowers are $15 - simply remit through your regular offering envelope or a pew envelope.

Due to the upcoming holidays, with the shortened work weeks, the church office is requesting that all information for the January newsletter be turned in earlier than usual. The January Newsletter deadline for turning in your information to the office is Friday, December 18 @ Noon. You may it call in, fax it to us or email us at umccadillac@sbcglobal.net. Thank you so very much for your cooperation in this matter.
