And seek to follow Christ’s true way. Amen.

*PRAYER OF CONSECRATION (in unison)

Gracious and generous God,

you call us to love one another

as you love us.

May our gifts reveal our love for you.

May our lives be reflections of your love

as we share with a world in need.

We ask for your blessing

on these gifts and on our lives.

We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

WE SCATTER TO SERVE IN THE WORLD

*CLOSING HYMN

Make Me a Blessing”

Out in the highways and byways of life,
many are weary and sad;
Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife,
making the sorrowing glad.

Refrain
Make me a blessing, make me a blessing,
Out of my life May Jesus shine;
Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray,
Make me a blessing to someone today.

Tell the sweet story of Christ and His love;
Tell of His pow'r to forgive:
Others will trust Him if only you prove
true ev'ry moment you live. Refrain

Give as 'twas given to you in your need;
Love as the Master loved you;
Be to the helpless a helper indeed;
Unto your mission be true. Refrain

*BENEDICTION AND BLESSING

One:.....As we go our separate ways, let us pray together

for God’s blessing.

All:.....Bless to me, great God,

every thought I weigh

every word I say

every prayer I pray.

Bless through me, great God,

every path I take

every hand I shake

every hope I awake.

One:.....The graces of courage, happiness and a serene mind, and all such blessings that belong to the children of the Triune God, be with you now and evermore.

All:.....Amen!
