PRAYER HYMN...................#2196 “We Walk By Faith”
UNISON PRAYER Joyful God, we continue to walk the path of resurrection, encountering you on the journey to Pentecost. It is easy to forget the celebration of Easter Day, yet we are an Easter people forever. In these fifty days of Eastertide, may we daily live the resurrection in our spirits and show the joy of resurrection to all around us. When the joy is elusive, remind us, O God, that your plan for each of us in Christ's community is larger than our own desires, our own hurts, our own plans. Keep us connected to your energy of love, so that we cannot help but share it with the world. As we await the day of the Holy Spirit, may you keep us alive in your hope. THE ROUGH WINTER IS TURNING TO SPRING! Your response has been tremendous! For the $9,400 in extra/unexpected expenses that built up this winter, dozens of your have responded to give an additional $3,185 to help. We still have over $6,000 in extra expenses, plus the lingering increase in monthly utilities. The display board in the Fellowship Hall is looking better and will be around for few more weeks. If you haven’t picked up an envelope, or have grabbed one and haven’t had a chance to return it, please continue to prayerfully consider an extra gift to your church, of whatever amount your are able, to help offset the deficit we are experiencing. Your help to get your church out from under the mounting pile of unexpected and increasing expenses is deeply appreciated!!

The weekend of April 18 – 19 has been designated as the 19th Annual “Just Pray NO!” to drugs Worldwide Weekend of Prayer and Fasting. Since 1991, “Just Pray NO!” has sought to unite Christians from around the world in intercessory prayer on behalf of the addicted and their families. Not only is substance abuse America's number one health problem, the devastation of alcoholism and other drug addiction has impacted families and communities worldwide. Substance abuse has been directly linked to violence and is a major source of income for organized crime and terrorist activities. The “War on Drugs” directly impacts the “War on Crime" and the "War on Terrorism!”
We are seeking prayer warriors from around the world to join in battle! We are encouraged to pray for the release of those bound by substance abuse and all other forms of addition.
Empowered and directed by God the Spirit, we are invited to pray today and throughout the coming week for the following prayer points:
1. Pray that the Holy Spirit brings conviction to those caught in the web of addition to understand their powerlessness over the addiction and seek to be released from the addiction.
2. Pray on behalf of the addicted that every stronghold and every pretense would be demolished.
4. Pray that those who are enslaved by addiction will be set free from the addiction and instead hunger and thirst for the Word of God and the righteousness of Christ. |
