the Companion of our hearts.

THE PEOPLE OF GOD PRAYING

If you have a prayer joy or concern you would like shared

during the Prayer of the People, please hand it to an usher.

PRAYER HYMN....................#377

It Is Well With My Soul”

UNISON PRAYER

You lay the foundations of the universe,
building a shelter for our battered souls;
you create wonders which are priceless,
yet do not forget the needy.
We open our hearts to you, God of Graciousness.

When evening comes and our fears prowl the shadows,
you whisper "Peace! Be Still!" to our hammering hearts,
so we may know you are with us in every moment.
We open our hearts to you, our dearest Friend.

When our lives are swamped by doubts and fears,

you calm us;

when we struggle with the clamoring chaos of our world,

you calm us.
We open our hearts to you, Spirit of Gentleness. Amen.

by Jerry and Joyce Seward

in celebration of their 30th wedding anniversary.

Today, we will be tying a Prayer Quilt for Bob Rapley. The Quilt will be available for your prayers and tying in the Fellowship Hall following both worship services. A reminder that Prayers & Squares is an outreach ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. The purpose of Prayers & Squares is not to make and distribute quilts, but to promote prayer through the use of quilts. Our motto is: "It's not about the quilt; it's all about the prayers."

Methodist Men will meet for their regular gathering on Thursday, June 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Following their outstanding potluck, a business meeting and devotions, we will view the DVD "U.S. Navy Carriers." This is a history of U.S. Carriers from the USS Langley in 1922 to the latest Nimitz Class Carrier of today. Dave Fuller is our host. Join our small but great group of men. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service.

Please note that there will be no Friendship Chain meeting the month of June.
