Our Summer Worship Schedule will begin on Sunday, June 14 with worship at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m..
The first Sunday in June, June 7, is the collection for OASIS, our local women’s shelter. They have requested personal care products such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, women’s deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, baby wipes and personal hygiene products. Thank you, in advance, for your contribution to OASIS.
June 7 is the last day of a wonderful Sunday School year. We are ending the season that day with a movie & popcorn for the kids during the Sunday School hour. The Junior High youth will assist in the event. Pastor Tom will supply his popcorn popper.
Nick Myers, freshman at Cadillac Junior High School and member of our congregation, will be playing his Upright Bass as background music during Coffee Hour TODAY. Nick offers his playing to help fund his upcoming travels with the Blue Lake International Youth Symphony Orchestra. This orchestra will be traveling for five weeks throughout Europe, and then an additional week throughout the Mid-West United States. Nick hopes you enjoy his music, and anyone moved to make a freewill donation to help support his endeavor will be greatly appreciated!
The new meeting time for the Thursday morning prayer group, is from 10:30-11:30 a.m. every Thursday at the church. Come pray with us!
American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 800 W. 13th Street • Cadillac on Monday, June 1 from 1:00 until 6:45 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 2 from 11:15 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.. Must have photo ID or donor card to donate. Must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.
We still have a few openings for Chancel Flowers in the upcoming months. The Flower Chart is in the hallway by the Church Office. The cost is $15.

Methodist Men will be meeting on Thursday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Corbin Room. Following our normal outstanding potluck meal, a short business meeting and devotions, we will view part 2 of the DVD “Speechless - Silencing the Christians.” This depicts the various tactics that our anti-Christian opponents use to suppress our witness. Hosts will be Ying and Yang. Bring a friend and join us!
Next Sunday is the celebration of the Day of Pentecost. Plan to wear something RED to worship - a top, scarf, jacket, sweater.
We also will be honoring our 2009 graduating high school seniors with a breakfast at 9:30 a.m., during the 11:00 worship and the Coffee Hour which follows. |
