*Call to Worship and Opening Hymn....................#64

(Singing “Holy, Holy, Holy”)

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!

Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.

Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,

God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

One:..........Holy is the Lord!

All: ..........God’s love pours down upon us.

One:..........Let the name of the Lord be praised!

All:..........With our hearts and our spirits, we raise our voices

joyfully in praise of God’s mighty presence in our lives.

(Singing “Holy, Holy, Holy”)

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!

All thy works shall praise thy name,

in earth and sky and sea.

Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,

God in three person, blessed Trinity!

One:..........Let our voices praise God continually.

All: ..........Let all that we do and say and think reflect our love

of God. Amen.

Unison Prayer of Confession
We come today, O Lord,
confessing that, like the disciples,
we too have worked all night and have
precious little to show for our efforts.
Some of us have 'churched' long and hard,
and still our neighbors see no good news
in either the church or church people.

We offer you both our days and our ways.
Teach us how to live our days as servants of God.
Show us new ways to serve that benefit your mission --
and not our need to be busy for you.

Direct our strength to the deep and difficult places --
where people need you most.
Reorder our thoughts,
ministries,
and works of service
so that they truly work for your glory, we pray. Amen.

*Prayer of Dedication (In unison)

Bountiful God, the abundance of the catch of fish was as nothing
compared with the abundance of the new life you have given us in Jesus. These gifts and our lives are offered in response to such grace on your part. May they be used to proclaim that your grace towards us has not been in vain. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Sharing the Bread and Cup

Prayer of Thanksgiving for Christ’s Presence

Thank you, God of our hearts,

For this meal and the love it expresses;

For your sacrifice and the intimacy with you that it brings;

For your commitment to reconcile the world to yourself.

We have shared the bread and the cup,

We have experienced the love and compassion of God,

And we have remembered the mission of Jesus,

which we are called to continue;

May your love, friendship and undeserved acceptance

fill us, change us and inspire us

that the world may grow into a place

where all of God’s children know

they have found a home for all eternity. Amen.

CLIP BOARD MINISTRY FOR MARCH

*GATHERING WORDS

One:..........It is by grace that we are who we are:

All:..........people who are called by Jesus, yet fearful to follow.

One:..........It is by God's grace that we can become followers:

All:..........people who are fearful, yet gifted with courage beyond wonder.

One:..........It is with God's grace that we become who we might be:

All:..........people who step out in faith, sharing the good news generously.

*SHARING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

PRAYER HYMN....................#2007

Holy, Holy, Holy” Sing Twice

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

The disciples at the lakeshore experienced

the power and presence of the Holy One, and were overcome with a sense of their own limitation and unworthiness.

Often, we, too, are awed and frightened

by the possibilities to which our God is calling. And so we pray:

When you call us to the deeper waters of understanding and engagement with our world, and we are afraid to follow:

God, have mercy.

We trust only our old patterns and ways and resist your call to begin afresh,

Christ, have mercy.

When service in your name overwhelms us, and we fail in faith and confidence in you,

God, have mercy.

WORDS OF PROMISE

Friends, in Christ our loving God offers us understanding and forgiveness– we hear the reassurance: “Do not be afraid!” and find new strength to follow into the future.
