Taste and See”

Unison Prayer

God of salvation, all the earth cries out for the beauty within us

that comes from the covenant you made with creation.

We, your little flock

of young and old, male and female,

rich and poor, strong and weak,

are not afraid,

for it is your good pleasure to give us now

your kingdom on earth as in heaven.

We have come: we are dressed for action and have our lamps lit, we are ready for a new dawn that brings an everlasting day. Amen.

Praise God, the source of all our gifts!

Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts!

Praise the Spirit, Holy Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

*Prayer of Dedication (in unison)

Faithful God, you ask us to place you first in all that we do. You call us to surrender to your will and to be obedient to your word. However, letting go is such a great barrier to overcome. We fool ourselves into the premise of being in control. Lift this barrier! Increase our heart's desire to freely provide for others in our giving and our serving. In the name of your servant son, Jesus, the Christ, we bless these offerings to your glory. Amen.

*Closing Hymn

I Believe”

UNISON PRAYER

Lord, you tell us to wait for your return.

Help us watch for you. Let us meet you in the Eucharist.
And look for you in the ones we love,
in strangers that we meet and in all those in need.
Come into our work, into what we read and into our sleep.
We will watch for you within our laughter and tears,
within the deep inside of everything. In the dusk, in the dark of night.

We wait for you to knock.

Amen.
