The Family Prayer Song”

Unison Prayer

We come to celebrate family joys, O Lord.

Times of sharing and supporting one another.

Times of laughter, times of praying and working together.

May our families be strengthened by your Spirit. Keep us close together so that no challenge can unravel the bindings of love that unite us. We lift up all parents for your blessing. Touch them with your loving hand that they may know your goodness, your comfort and your peace. Through Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.

UNISON PRAYER

Compassionate God, we give you thanks that we are surrounded by your beauty, uplifted by your grace and transformed by your love. We give you thanks for placing us in families where your love has human faces. We are grateful to be remembered in a mother's heart and carried in a father's prayer. We are blessed by hours of care and times of patience that mirror your desire for all of the human family. Strengthen and support our families in the daily tasks of love. Let forgiveness ease error, kindness soothe anger and let gratitude reign this day. In Jesus' name. Amen.
