PRAYER SONG....................Bell Choir “Seek Ye First”
UNISON PRAYER Lord of life, we praise you for the faith and love of these young disciples. With your blessing, they have grown strong and true. Today they accept for themselves the grace you offered them at their baptism and make a lifelong commitment to serve and honor you. Strengthen them to fulfill the vows they make this day in all their future decisions. Help them discover their true call through the gifts you have given them. Save us, Lord, from trusting in ourselves and let us also reaffirm our faith during this time of confirmation. We give thanks for the leaders who have conducted and presented these young people to you, O God, and for the faithfulness of parents who committed their youth to the careful ministry of the Word in our church. Keep them ever in your care for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

Our Loose Plate Offering for May is designated to UMC Camp Scholarships. It is such a unique opportunity for our young people to be able to attend these wonderful camps. They have the chance to learn and grow in Christianity, as well as make new friends from other churches. You are already aware that the Education Committee has a campaign to raise funds for our campers in order to pay for half their campership. The money raised by the Missions Committee will go towards the remaining monies needed for those campers who are in need of a full camper scholarship. Please help us in this endeavor to send our youth to camp this summer.

Pastor Ken Nydam is organizing the league and will keep us on track for fun, fellowship, competition & prizes. This league is open to anyone, male or female, attending ANY CHURCH in the Cadillac area. In this league you don’t need a partner, you don’t have to play every week, you can join the league at any time during the summer, and it doesn’t matter what time you show up as long as it is within the time frame that Eldorado schedules the church league. Tee off times start at 4:30 until 6:00 p.m.. For more info or to sign up, please email Ken at Kjnydam”at”gmail.com or call him.

TODAY is Confirmation Sunday. During the 11:00 worship service, nine youth will be confirmed into the faith in which they were baptized. This is always a high and holy moment in a young person’s faith journey. The Coffee Hour following the late worship service will be held in their honor.
The Cookbook that our late friend, Jean Stump, was pulling together is going to print very soon. Many persons from our congregation have recipes in it. A count is needed for those who desire to purchase one for only $6.50. Reserve yours today; a sign-up sheet is available on the table in Fellowship Hall.
Our collection of non-perishable foods and paper products for May will go towards the Manton Food Pantry. This food pantry is open to all Wexford County residents.
